Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some commonly asked questions. If yours isn't listed, please feel free to reach out, and I'll be happy to provide assistance.

How long are the sessions?

The discovery call can last anywhere from half an hour to an hour, with following sessions lasting one hour each.

How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your unique needs and goals. You are welcome to continue sessions at your own pace and schedule, for as long as you find them helpful. There is no obligation to continue once you feel you’ve reached your desired outcome.

What is the cancelations policy?

If unexpected circumstances arise, I kindly request that you provide at least 36-hour notice for any cancellations. Cancellations made within 36 hours of your scheduled session and up until the session start time will incur a $50 fee. No-shows will be charged the full session rate. This practice of being charged for no-shows or late cancellations is standard practice in the field, and takes into account that you are not just paying for services rendered, but reserving a time slot which I cannot offer to someone else on short notice.

What do I do if I am running late to my appointment?

If you are running late to your session please reach out to me as soon as possible to confirm your arrival time. I will work with the time you have remaining in your session.

What are your fees and can I use my insurance?

Sessions are priced at $100 each as part of the introductory pricing during the beginning of my practice. I do not accept insurance.

What are the benefits of a virtual session vs an in person one?

Virtual sessions offer unique benefits alongside traditional in-person sessions. Virtual sessions provide the convenience of accessing support from the comfort of your chosen environment. This allows you to engage in the process while being in a space where you feel most comfortable. However I ask that you make sure you're alone and free from potential distractions. Additionally, virtual sessions eliminate the need for travel time, offering flexibility in scheduling and accessibility for individuals with mobility constraints. In-person sessions on the other hand, provide a comfortable space free of daily distractions, fostering a more immediate sense of connection and safety. Despite the differences, both options prioritize your well-being and offer effective support tailored to your needs.

Does what we talk about in a session remain confidential?

Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance to me. I want to assure you that everything discussed during our sessions remains strictly confidential, unless there is an imminent threat to your safety or the safety of others. Fostering a secure and supportive space is a priority for me.

Are there any symptoms you don't work with?

I can work with a wide variety of clients and problems, but sometimes I may not have the training needed to address a particular concern. If this is the case I will discuss it with you so you can find another professional who is better qualified to serve you. If you are having current hallucinations/ delusions, severe thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or extreme Bipolar mood swings you may need more support than I can offer you through our sessions and I reserve the right to refer you to a different professional.
